In 2016, a decision was taken to renovate the church to increase the average number of visitors and, with the technical support of the project management company Regional Consulting & Management SA, the designer M&M Design SRL and the technical support of Ostentum SRL, the project “Structural consolidation works and renovation of the Reformed Church of Huedin, CJ-II-m-A-07679, Cluj County”, which was funded under the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020, 5th phase. Improvement of the urban environment and conservation, protection and sustainable development of cultural heritage, investment priority 5.1. Preservation, protection, promotion and development of natural and cultural heritage. On 4 October 2017, the financing contract No 540 was signed with the Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration and European Funds. (now known as the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Public Administration) as Managing Authority and the North-West Regional Development Agency as Intermediate Body, and on 19 October 2018, following a competitive tendering procedure, the contract for the rehabilitation works was signed with the construction company Decorint SRL. The works started on 3 April 2019. The deadline for completion of the project is 31 April 2022.

Project objective: to increase the average annual attendance at the Reformed Church of Huedin, Cluj County, by strengthening the heritage protection objective, thus contributing to the competitiveness of the region.
Specific objectives:
– To increase the value of the Reformed Church of Huedin, Cluj County, by renovating the church in order to fully integrate it into the tourist circuit.
– To increase the accessibility of the Reformed Church of Huedin in Cluj County for all categories of tourists.
– To promote the project and the tourist offer of the Huedin Reformed Church.
The project resulted in a restored, protected and preserved monument (LMI code CJ-II-m-A-07679 – Reformed Church).
Start date: 01 January 2014.
The implementation period is 54 months from the signature of the financing contract on 04 October 2017.
The total value of the project is RON 11,269,693.10, of which RON 8,936,831.84 is EU contribution (ERDF), RON 1,577,087.97 is national contribution and RON 10,513,919.81 is grant.
